Bugatti has marked its new land speed world record for production cars with the Veyron 16.4 Super Sport is proving to be the basis of the Volkswagen Ehra-Lessien. In the presence by the German technical inspection (TÜV) and the representative of the Guinness Book of World Records, Super Sport achieved an average speed in excess of 431 km / h.

The Veyron 16.4 Super Sport is a logical development of the classic version 1001-HP exclusive Bugatti launched earlier in 2005, the result is a high performance car with a DE1 ,200-hp (882 kW) with a maximum torque of 1500 Nm and a top speed limited to 415 km / h. Supersport has four turbochargers and intercoolers expanded to increase the engine power to 16 cylinders. The chassis has been extensively redesigned with a slightly raised main spring travel, stronger stabilizers, and new shock absorbers developed for racing cars.

The new Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Super Sport will begin production this fall in Molsheim with the sport and the Veyron Grand.
